What we believe... |
Who are your religious figures, and what are your texts? Our church honors many religious figures, including Jesus, Gandhi, and Buddha. We teach lessons from many sacred texts, and also contemporary texts such as the writings of Eckhart Tolle and Deepak Chopra. Wisdom is everywhere.
So this is not a Christian faith? That depends on your personal definition of Christian. While we honor Jesus as a teacher, we do not regard him as a savior, as we do not believe in the concept of salvation. |
What are your beliefs?
- One God, many names. God, Goddess, spark, force, energy... There is one force which we refer to as God, which manifests itself in all of nature, including each of us.
- Divine Within Us. We believe that each of us has the divine within us. Critics may say that this concept equates to pantheism, but that is simply untrue. The divine with in you (AKA your soul) is part of the one God, not a separate God in itself.
- All Thought Is Creative. Studies have revealed the power of prayer. Mindful and intentional prayer yields powerful results. Think of it this way: If you gave a 16 year old car keys, he may be able to drive to school safely. However, if you put him through driver's ed first, to learn how to control that powerful vehicle, the results will likely be better.

Declaration of Principles, paraphrased from the writings of Dr. Ernest Holmes.
- We believe in one God, indestructible, absolute and self-existent.
- We believe in the unity of all life, as all of Creation is a manifestation of this one God.
- We believe in the incarnation of the Spirit in each individual.
- We believe in the eternality, the immortality and the continuity of the individual soul.
- We believe the kingdom of heaven is within us, and that we experience this kingdom to the degree that we become conscious of it.
- We believe in the unity of all life, and that the highest God and the innermost God is One God.
- We believe that God is personal to all who feel this Indwelling Presence.
- We believe in the direct revelation of Truth through our intuitive and spiritual nature, and that any person may become a revealer of Truth who lives in close contact with the Indwelling God.
- We believe in the eternal goodness, the eternal loving kindness and the eternal givingness of life to all.
- We believe in our own soul, our own spirit, and our own destiny.
